Four-channel audio extender box

The CXA041 is a four-channel audio transmission box with four 3-pin XLR-F inputs and four 3-pin XLR-M parallel outputs, as well as two parallel RJ45 network connectors. By using a single Ethernet cable instead of four audio cables or DMX lighting cables, four channels of analog audio signals or AES digital audio signals can be transmitted by connecting a shielded Cat5 Ethernet cable between any two CXA041 transmission boxes (note that the Ethernet cable must be shielded to pass phantom power). This feature allows audio signals to be transmitted from one location in a building to another using existing Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable infrastructure, or over long distances using inexpensive and lightweight network cables, saving costs and making wiring much easier. The box also features a grounding switch to help eliminate hum caused by ground loops, and can transmit lighting signals in addition to audio signals.
